Cheeeze
Clogs- hand made, hand crafted, hand treated.
Windmill. When in Holland we must have photos of windmills.
Some of us squeezed in a tour of the Heineken factory the afternoon we arrived in Amsterdam.

Mmmm, beer.

We arrived in Amsterdam not long after a big celebration, evidence of which was everywhere.
Our bus and driver.
Picture Perfect
We were given a brief talk about how they make their cheeze and how its all made on sight and blah blah. But then we got to taste the cheeze and DAMN, that was some fine cheeze. I'm not a cheeze lover but I knew that it was good cheeze. 10 points to the local cows.
We were given a demonstration as to how they are made and I will admit my eyes were looking more at the rear of the clog maker and less at the clogs themselves. They are tied together thus my stupid stance. Really cool to see though and the colour of the clog is of significance also.
Jude made us run to get this photo as we were running a bit behind schedule- first 8 ppl back to the bus got a chocolate- oh yeah, i got my chocolate.
Here we are waiting to go into the beer bottle simulation.
Check out those brewing chambers behind us.
You get to stop for a beer half way through your tour. How thoughtful hey?
Also, a thanks to all those who didnt use their drink vouchers at the end of the tour and palmed them all off to me. I was quite merry by the time we left the factory and I remember very little of our walking tour- cheers.
Most of the building has been restored but they have kept the upstairs area as it was.
Big tourist area at that.
All the art in it was from local artists. Much respect to the little old lady that ran this place all on her own. She made coffee, sandwhichs, milkshakes, pancakes and much more all at once and single handedly.
Big thumbs up to that cafe.
Just one of the legal smoke houses.
We were waiting for everyone to rock up so we could go for our all you can eat Chinese food dinner.
Who is a hungry girl then? The food was ausome, the service great. A good start to a good night.
This was not a good effort. Lilah is the only one who came close.
Err, not even close.
The drinks are starting to flow.
I think they may have been sneaking in the odd drink judging by their photo taking ability.
Check out the clog... I mean boat on the left.
The rubbish in the foreground existed all over the city.
Tessy to slow are we named after our first night in Paris- she did a good job though. We love you Tessy
