I got a kiss off one of these boys- can you guess which one?
I LOVED this fruit market.
These birds existed in these cages 24-7.
If you walked up to the entrance behind me at 10:40pm at night would you think it was a hostel? If so would you find its sinister entry appealing? :)
One day we were walking to Las Ramblas via our dodgey backstreets and alleys, and what have they got set up?! A big market for homemade foods and produce. Lots of people selling sweetened fruit and honey, plus herbal remedies and things like that.
Every morning for breakfast we would walk here. Its the best! Even Kris, who is more of a pastry person liked it. Mmmm.
They were for sale on Las Ramblas along with other animals and criters you could never buy in Australia without a permit. At the end of everyday, up go the makeshift walls until another day. What really got me was the low low price tags on these animals. They wern't mistreated really but it was quite strange to see them in a street stall.
