Venice, the city of love.
Ben, Kristel, Cally, Becks and Mike in front of St Davids church
Natalie, Ben and Kristel on our gondola ride
Cally and I in the looove seat. Can you tell?
Kristel intently listening to the gondola man
Waiting for the bus back to the camp ground I walked a bit and took this photo
It was amazing how many boats of different shapes and sizes negotiate the canals
We were privileged enough to witness a gondola race. Which apparently is rare.
The weather definately ruined our day in Venice a bit. It rained on and off, both heavy and soft and of course, it was cold. None the less Venice was enchanting.
This church has many pieces of art inside. The windows are even boarded up so that more paintings can be hung.
All the stuff here is hand made
The sun came out and the rain stopped only a couple of minutes before we hopped aboard
He sung and told us stories and gave us facts about Venice. AND he knew that Canberra was the capital of Australia
This photo was taken in the Main Canal. Gorgeous
Thats Rialto Bridge in the background. Its construction began in 1588
I could sit by the canals all day and watch the boats go by
Even though it rained for most of the day, Venice still rated well.
